Hello fellow Zen’ers, it’s been a while since I’ve written one of these newsletters. I’ve been thinking a bit about what direction I want to take this and how I can make these posts a little more engaging and somewhat of a useful tool for you. Then, a lightbulb moment happened on my way home from work one evening….

Listening to a podcast from one of my favorite ‘Trading Mentors’, Mark Minvervini, some salient words jumped out at me. Mark described how he struggled for years in his early days of trading picking lagging stocks or the tops of leading stocks. The main reason for this was that he screened his stock picks from the top down. How does this look you might ask?

1/ Screen the overall health of the market
2/ Pick the sectors that seem to be performing the strongest
3/ Find the stocks within those sectors that showed strength

As you can understand, by the time Mark stepped through this process, all the gravy had run dry. So what’s the fix? Well, he flipped the whole process on its head:

1/ Stocks first, then
2/ Let those strongest stocks lead you to the sectors
3/ Allow the macro trends of the market to envelope your picks. A rising tide lifts all boats…

As such, my intention for this Newsletter moving forward is to do exactly that. Provide the Zen community with a snapshot of the 5 strongest cryptocurrency projects for the week (data taken from CMC). However with a slight twist. The selections will be taken from the ‘Trending’ section from CMC, which highlights cryptocurrencies that people are searching for the most on CoinMarketCap. Harnessing this data I will provide a breakdown of each project.

Then over time, you will have the tools to be able to stitch those narratives together and hopefully use these weekly updates as a trading/investment assistant to help you position into the right names/sectors for the next rally.

1/ Klaytn ($KLAY)

2/ Monero ($XMR)

Breakout from Stage 4 descending wedge needs confirmation ($XMR)

Origin: Bitcointalk forum
Sector: Payments/Medium of Exchange
Narrative: Privacy
Value Proposition: ‘Ring Signature’ technology. Strong and established community. ASIC resistant (POW).
Tokenomics: In total, only 18.4 million XMR will be mined. After this happens, there will be what’s called “tail emission” of 0.6 XMR created with every new block. This mechanism should go into effect from May 2022. Why the slight monetary policy adjustment? The Monero community wants to provide an incentive to all the miners to keep their machines running and support the network.

MCAP/TVL: N/A

3/ Libero Financial ($LIBERO)

Disclaimer: With rebase protocols, it’s not even worth charting 😉

  • 1. Our token amount grows 2.02% / day & compounding to 158,893.59% a year.
  • 2. Your total token value in USD will grow as your shares/total Market cap increase because of 4% supply burned every week.
  • 3. LIBERO’s Market cap grows larger when new investors come in, but your shares/total Market cap does not decline but instead continues to grow, your total token value in USD will further increase.

apparently…

Tokenomics: Emissions, emissions, and did I say emissions?
TVL: $8,371,587
